There seems to be some confusion on proper protocol to follow if someone in your household is being tested for COVID. We ask that if a member of your family is being tested for COVID that you keep all students living in that household home (quarantined) until the test results are returned.
If the test results are negative your child may return to school (as long as they are not showing signs of any symptoms). If the test results are positive your child must remain at home (quarantined) for 10 days from the onset of symptoms of the family member testing positive. Your child may return after these 10 days of quarantine as long as they are not showing any symptoms or they may follow the Mask to Stay guidelines.
We have a Guidelines for Quarantine After Exposure document posted on our school website under News & Information – Superintendent Letter 12-7-21 which will explain in more detail.
Thank you for your cooperation on following these guidelines recommended by the Wayne County Health Department.
